Can you build an identifiable group for niche marketing from the group
of your proven customers? Your internet marketing should be your core
business - your best or largest or most profitable market.

The answer is utilitarian - most people are online in a goal oriented
search for information - certainly doing something they set out to do.
If you have a well defined set of products that appeal to the same
market niche the promotion becomes much easier.

You need to know if this description holds for the product your sales
specifically - if not, then the reason could be very important.

Most identifiable target visitors to a website aren't immediately ready
to buy - so niche marketing has to provide for both nonbuyers and buyers.
So generally the answer is to provide information for the visitors who
weren't yet ready to buy, and this also helps confirm the buyers who may
have been not quite sure.

Are you happy with your business the way it is? If so, then it is just
possible you might be over the crest and on the way down. If you don't
continually change and grow then the competition will pull ahead and you
could be in trouble.

Arm yourself with as much internet marketing information as possible
about your perfect customer and then target that customer in every way
you can.

Characteristics of a target market:
can identify characteristics of the group that are measurable in numbers
the group is big enough to generate enough sales to make it worth while
the group is accessable enough to deliver the product to
the competition already addressing this group is not too strong
it would be easy enough to enter the market
having entered, there would be enough security to deter competition
